Rashminder K. Sandhu is an Associate Attorney at McAlpine, PC. Her practice is informed by a strong academic background, cross-border legal training, and experience in immigration matters, cannabis and real estate law, and litigation matters including contract disputes, contract drafting, claims preparation, construction, and commercial litigation, as well as complex legal research and advocacy.

Ms. Sandhu joined McAlpine, PC in March as a Law Clerk and was subsequently promoted to Associate Attorney, reflecting her strong analytical skills, legal writing ability, and contributions to the firm’s construction and commercial litigation practice. Since joining the firm, she has been involved in litigating and supporting matters arising from complex construction disputes, contract-related issues, real estate matters, and claims development.  Ms. Sandhu is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is currently in the process of obtaining cross-border licensure in Canada. She also achieved a high transferable score on the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE), qualifying her for admission in all UBE jurisdictions. Ms. Sandhu is also a certified mediator with the Michigan Supreme Court.

Prior to joining McAlpine, PC, Ms. Sandhu served as a Judicial Law Clerk within the Michigan appellate and trial court systems, including the Michigan Court of Appeals and a Michigan trial court.

While in law school, Ms. Sandhu served as a Board Member for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues as the Executive Articles Editor. She also participated in advocacy competitions, including the Transnational Law Moot Competition, the Dual JD American Moot, and the Dual JD Canadian Moot.

Ms. Sandhu was a Pupil of the American Inns of Court, where she developed advocacy and professionalism skills through instruction and mentorship from judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and experienced attorneys from across Michigan. During law school, she also received multiple academic scholarships recognizing her academic performance and professional promise.
